What is Ayurveda ?
Ayurveda is an Ancient System of Healing that dates back thousands of years. Literally it is translated from the two Sanskrit words; AYU (means the Life) & VEDA (means the Knowledge). Means Ayurveda is “The Knowledge of Life.” One of the most unique aspects of Ayurveda is that it looks at a person on a truly holistic level, not only considering the physical body; Ayurveda incorporates Wellness for Mind, Body and Soul. These three components called “TRI DOSHA” of the human body system; which are linked to one another. Hence; these three components must be considered when looking at a person’s state of well-being. TRI DOSHA /the humeral theory of Ayurveda (elemental based energies) itself is complete; and it explains all the Physiological and Pathological Changes in the Body. Ayurveda belief is based on the belief that we all have “TRI DOSHA’; which resides in our bodies in varying degrees. When a person is healthy; these DOSHAS are balanced in a natural harmony within our bodies. At the same time; the diseases appear when any imbalance among these “TRI DOSHAS” take place in our Body. Hence, if “TRI DOSHA” is properly diagnosed, one can find out the root cause of any disease, which plays an important role while treating any patient.
